ABOUT ME: Well hello there my new pals! My name is Winnie and I am so excited to tell you all about me! Do not let my size fool you, I am STILL very much a puppy. I am about 6 to 7 months old and I am right in the prime "learning" age. The perfect time for you to teach me all there is to know about becoming a great dog and a great valued family member. Now, before we get too far into this, I want to make sure you understand what that means. What that means is that I have no training! I am a blank slate. An empty canvas and that my friends is THE PERFECT opportunity for you to mold me into the doggy of your dreams. Together we can work on walking on a leash, mastering the "potty" thing. You can teach me that jumping up and sticking my tongue down new friends throats is not necessarily a widely acceptable greeting for all of your guest. I am a very loving and friendly girl who thinks that everyone enjoys me up in their grill!!!! You can also show me that my food bowls are on the ground and not on your counter....ya know basically that counter surfing is not an acceptable form of "exercise" in the human world. Now, I know this sounds like a lot of work and don't get me wrong it is, BUT if you have the time and the patience ALL of this like I said is the perfect opportunity for YOU to have the dog of your dreams. I mean you get to set all the rules for the home! You can teach me the rules and just be sure to enforce them and wallaaaa in no time at all you and I will be living harmoniously together forever. My foster mommy and daddy have been crate training me and that is going pretty well! The crate keeps me from having potty accidents and from chewing on things I am not supposed to chew on....like your shoes, the kids toys, the cabinets...anything and everything a puppy that is going through the "chewing" phase of growing up would consider chewing on. The very best part about me being a puppy is that we can bond while doing all of this training together! Training is a GREAT way for you and I to become even closer and for us to become the best of friends. Training can be a very positive thing for both of us while we work together to make sure that we learn everything we can about each others likes and dislikes all while you and I make sure that I learn all of the house "rules" so that we can grow old together! Another thing we can do together is exercise! I am a medium sized, very active breed, pup who so enjoys romping in the yard and going for walks. Sadly, it appears my past owners never really worked with me on much. They did however leave a "HALTY" on my nose and it must have been very very tight because my fur is still not back to the "normal" texture because it had to have been digging into my nose. While a halty can be a great tool for walking and training it needs to fit correctly, which clearly mine did not. I now prefer the use of an "easy walk harness" and I am learning to walk very very well with one of those. In fact, those are a great training tool and if you buy one of those for me, we can go for walks together, jogging, etc and we can both get and/or stay in shape and have a blast while we are doing it. I LOVE all humans. I LOVE all other dogs and I love playing with kids and dogs in the backyard. SOOOO if you have had the patience to read through all of this and you are thinking that I am the one for you, it is high time you jump onto the WEBSITE and complete the application to adopt. The application is the ONLY way you can be considered to adopt me. The application is designed to help the volunteers make sure that I get the perfect home and YOU and YOUR family get the perfect dog according to your answers. Please be informative and answer all the questions honestly so that they can help me get the right family and you can get the RIGHT dog for you. xo Winnie. WWW.CTHAR.ORG

Why Adoption is a Great Option

WINNIE - 7 MONTH OLD ADORABLE PUPPY, a Mentor Shar Pei/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Mentor, or seeking a Shar Pei/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Mentor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mentor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mentor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Shar Pei/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mentor paves the way for another one to be saved.
