Rider's Story...
This gentle and calm girl was born approximately in mid June and was actually raised in a Jeep along with her baby sister. Rider, along with her sister, were brought indoors at about 5 weeks of age to be raised with caring people and to see how wonderful life can be indoors in loving hands.

Rider loves to play with anything that has feathers and things she can chase and carry around to proudly show off. Playtime will get her purring very loudly as she really enjoys that bonding time with her family. Although she does fine with other cats and enjoys their company, being hand raised makes her want to be with people that much more. When her foster mom comes into her room, Rider will run right up purring loudly waiting to be picked up, petted and then for play time to begin. When her family is not at home, this little girl would love to have a kitty playmate that will keep her from getting to lonely. Please consider adding this little Jeep loving girl to your family!

Rider is current on all vaccines appropriate for their age and has tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rider, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
