Rosie's Story...
SWEET, SWEET, SWEET! Rosie is such a LOVE! As soon as you call her, she is right there for you to pick up and hear her purr…no pets required to activate :)! Rosie was found as a stray all by herself in southern Illinois. She was so happy to be rescued, she has been purring ever since we picked her up! When her foster family introduced her to other kittens to play with, it only took her one day to figure out this was going to be fun! She has been playing and cuddling with them ever since. She has officially joined the ranks of BEST KITTEN EVER! Rosie is in a foster home with dogs, cats and children 8 and 13 years old – she will make an amazing pet for any type of family.

Behaviorally and socially, it’s best to adopt kittens in pairs, or into a home with a playful cat. Rosie would LOVE to be adopted with one of her “foster” buddies since she already knows them so well…and then they can play, and snuggle while you're not home. Check out our PICK A PAIR page to see if they are still available, or if they aren’t, you can pick your own pair! If there is already another playful kitten in the house, she would love that too.

Rosie’s estimated date of birth is 5/26/15 and her adoption fee of $135 includes her vet exam, FVRCP (distemper combo) vaccination, FIV & Feline Leukemia testing (neg), routine deworming, flea control, microchip and spay.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rosie, a Mt. Prospect Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
