Meet Trixie a mellow, super easy, fun, loving, happy dog that is sure to bring joy to your heart! Trixie is house trained, crate trained (and quiet in her crate), and likes riding in cars. She loves to lay around the house on the couch or your bed, cuddle and be your constant best friend! Trixie occasionally enjoys a short walk and she has also discovered a new love for balls and LOVES to play a game of ball with you. Trixie enjoys the company of other nice, polite, respectful dogs and cats. * As you can tell from her fat rolls she is fond of her food and at times can be afraid that other dogs will take it away from her. For that reason we suggest that Trixie be fed apart from others. Trixie is estimated to be around 3 yrs old and is fully vetted ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS A securely fenced yard is required, unless otherwise approved. About Animal Aid for Vermilion Area

About Our Rescue Group...

To date, Animal Aid for Vermilion Area, a non profit 501(c)3 animal rescue organization located in South Louisiana, has helped rescue thousands of animals.

We have worked through 5 natural disasters, including hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In the aftermath of Katrina, we helped unite people with their pets and saved cattle from drowning and starving.

We also helped pass the Pet Evacuation Bill that keeps service animals and pets from being left behind during a disaster.

We have been helping animals and their owners for over 25 years, and one of our goals is to rescue and rehome as many animals as we can from the local Animal Control facility, a high kill pound with no adoption program.
