Facts about Absolut & Wilco

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: White
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Although shy at first, Absolut (white, female) & Wilco (grey tabby, male) will win your heart over with their gentle love. Absolut is a petite, fragile lady, that came to Tree House through a severe hoarding situation in 2015. She is one of our FIV+ residents who lives in our Sycamore Colony, with her buddy Wilco. Wilco came to Tree House at the end of 2016 in pretty rough shape with severe fleas and mites that caused open wounds; his rough past probably explains why he is currently pretty bashful in this shelter environment. Although these two weren’t admitted together, they have become fast friends; cuddling with each other all day. Wilco seems to give Absolut confidence around humans, and she has been making huge strides daily when it comes to her socialization. We are sure though that with time and patience, they will blossom into more confident, loving kitties that we know they can be!

Our Adoption Process...

At Tree House, our goal is to find a good fit between cat and guardian. Our trained adoption counselors talk with prospective adopters to best understand their wants and needs. Visitors then tour our cageless facility to meet our rescued cats who are waiting for a forever home. We encourage individuals to take as much time as they need to find their new best friend and make sure it will be a good fit (and can visit multiple times). Ultimately, we want every match to be a happy and healthy one and individuals to take their time versus being rushed to make a decision. Adoption applications stay on file for three months.

Adoption fees of $85 help cover the cost of a cat's care at Tree House including: spay or neuter, deworming, flea treatment, FIV and FeLV testing, AVID microchip, veterinary examination, and necessary vaccinations. We also give a 30-day health guarantee on all of our adoptions.
