Important Note

Bella Bunny is best friends with Absolut. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
Bella Bunny is a very shy little lady who came to us through a severe hoarding situation in 2015. She is one of our FIV+* residents who lives in our Sycamore colony. Bella Bunny depends on her bonded companion, Absolut, who she was admitted with from this hoarding situation. Bella Bunny has limited vision and is not use to human interaction so Absolut has become a source of confidence and security. We would love to find Bella Bunny and Absolut a quiet and calm environment to call home. They would need plenty of vertical space and patience from their future adopter so they have time to adjust to their new surroundings.Bella Bunny was born in 2003.

*Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) causes a weakening of the immune system in cats. It's often compared to human HIV, but FIV is not transferable to humans or other species. It is also difficult to transfer to other sterilized cats, and we believe that mixed FIV and non-FIV households can work if managed properly. If kept indoors in a stress-free environment, with regular medical care and high-quality nutrition, most FIV+ cats live long and healthy lives. Tree House staff can help answer your questions to see if an FIV+ cat is the right choice for you. FIV+ cats adopted from Tree House are eligible for a lifetime veterinary-care plan that includes a free annual exam and discounted treatments.

Our Adoption Process...

At Tree House, our goal is to find a good fit between cat and guardian. Our trained adoption counselors talk with prospective adopters to best understand their wants and needs. Visitors then tour our cageless facility to meet our rescued cats who are waiting for a forever home. We encourage individuals to take as much time as they need to find their new best friend and make sure it will be a good fit (and can visit multiple times). Ultimately, we want every match to be a happy and healthy one and individuals to take their time versus being rushed to make a decision. Adoption applications stay on file for three months.

Adoption fees of $85 help cover the cost of a cat's care at Tree House including: spay or neuter, deworming, flea treatment, FIV and FeLV testing, AVID microchip, veterinary examination, and necessary vaccinations. We also give a 30-day health guarantee on all of our adoptions.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS

* If you rent, we need your landlord's name and phone number, or a copy of your lease stating that you are allowed to have cats.
