ISABELLE's Story...
Introducing ISABELLE! She is a young (about 20 months), female Labrador Mix, who came to us after being abandoned at a warehouse, her 5 month old puppy in tow. He has since gone off to his forever home and now its Mom's turn. We can't say enough good things about her. She's friendly, confident and gets along great with the other dogs in our PAWS BEHIND BARS prison dog training program at Luther Luckett. She will graduate fully obedient and well mannered and will make a lovely family companion dog. Kids are OK by her also!

She is small for a lab mix, weighs about 45 lbs. She is fully vetted - spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and fully vaccinated. If you would like to meet Isablle, please contact Adopt Me! Bluegrass Pet Rescue at email: adoptmebpr@aol.com or call 502-777-1442.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ISABELLE, a LaGrange Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in LaGrange, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in LaGrange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange paves the way for another one to be saved.
