Cheddar's Story...
Hi, my name is Cheddar! I am a light orange color with goldenrod colored eyes, and I am a total sweetheart. I like to be around people and I will usually just come and sit down nearby you to check up on what you're doing. I don't mind being held, or carried around your house to see all the different things that are going on. I love to play with different toys that I find, and sometimes I'll play with things you didn't even know were toys. But also I like to just sleep next to you on the sofa when I get tired. For the first few months of my life I grew up outside, being chased by dogs and cars. I was exposed to the elements including tropical storms, lots of rain, and blazing hot Florida afternoons. Will you please consider letting me into your forever home, where I can finally rest comfortably away from the heat and the rain?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cheddar, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
