Duncan's Story...
Hi, my name is Duncan! My siblings and I came to St. Francis when our mama cat was hit by a car. We were just tiny babies and had to be bottle-fed every two hours until we were big enough to eat on our own. Now I am old enough for my forever home! I am an extremely sweet little boy who loves to be in my human's lap. I also love to play with string toys and feather toys, and with my siblings and Foster friends, but I never want to be too far from my human. I am looking for a forever home either with one of my siblings, or a home that has another kitty to be friends with. I hope to meet you soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duncan, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
