My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

On today’s episode of “The Cat House” we check in on Fasbet, a handsome creamsicle tabby. He sits quietly in a window at the AWLMC shelter, looking out on the world and wondering why he has been overlooked once again. His green eyes show his loneliness, but still brighten when a volunteer or potential adopter stops to say hello. Fasbet jumps from the windowsill and begins a slow circuit of the shelter, his head turns this way and that…as if searching for something. Of course, loyal viewers will know that Fasbet is looking for Tiny, with whom he shared the privileges of “floor cat” and a deep friendship. Fasbet is happy that Tiny is now in a forever home, but that does not stop the ache in his big heart that can only be filled by finding a home of his own. The scene changes to show Fasbets fantasy-like imaginings: He is snugged in someone’s lap, purring as he drifts off to sleep…. Jumping for a feather wand as children giggle…tumbling with another cat, then stopping for a bit of grooming, and then tucked warm and safe in a bed next to a human who absent-mindedly rubs behind his ears. Slowly the scene changes back to show Fasbet once again in his window. There is a hint of a smile on his face…He knows his new family is out there, and he hopes they are coming for him soon! On our next episode of “The Cat House” -- Will Fasbet get his wish? He was born in 2013.
