MEET YAHTZEE….who loves to roll around on her back and beg for belly rubs! This little lady is a tan/white, 14 lb (underweight), 8-9 yr old Lhasa Tzu who just wants to be loved. She is as sweet as she can be, not a big barker, is okay with cats and does her business outside! What more could you ask from a little girl? Her foster mom describes her as “uncomplicated!” When she greets you, she puts her whole self into it, and when she wags her tail, her entire body moves with it! She was placed in a home with her foster pal, Kashi, who was returned to us a year ago when she was diagnosed with diabetes 🙁 At the time, the adopter did not want to return Yahtzee, but he has decided he no longer wants to take care of her. Mind you, it is not because she is difficult, it is because of him. We learned they never took her to the vet in the three years they had her! She had a slight heart murmur, which has increased and she is now on medication (which is very inexpensive). Now that she is back with us, she is on good food, flea control and whatever she needs. Here, she is VERY loved, but she needs a forever home. Yahtzee is great with other dogs and people and just needs love! While she is not a big kissy face, she is very affectionate and smart. She loves to go on walks and just hang out with you. She is happy go lucky and medium energy, so she would be fine in almost any home except one where she would be left alone all day. So, a family with kids over 8 yrs old, where there is someone home….and/or a household with another canine companion….or even a mature home who are looking for a companion would be great for this wonderful girl. Does this sound like a dog you could love? If so, come and get her! She deserves more than she has gotten :(((((

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
