Morning walks, taking in the fresh air. Sunset drives along the beach and sunbathing in the yard. Those are some of my favorite things! My name is Dakota and I’m 5 years old. I’m the kind of girl, who doesn’t ask for much. I enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer. You see, I was rescued from a shelter in MS in 2012. I was adopted; to a wonderful woman and lived the good life in sunny Florida, until she took ill. I know how difficult it was for my mom to call the rescue and ask for them to take me back. She is a strong willed woman, who is fighting a difficult battle all on her own. I pray that one day she will overcome her illness and get better. I hope she knows that I will always love her and am grateful for the love and care she gave me. I know she wants the best for me. I don’t want her to worry, I’d rather she have peace of mind in knowing that someone will love me just as much as she did. As for me, I’m pretty much laid back and mild mannered. I’m trustworthy being in the house on my own, I don’t bother with things that are not mine. I use the doggy door at my foster home, to do my business. I like playing with other canines and I’m good with friendly felines. I’m affectionate and like to snuggle with my human, crawled up on the sofa watching TV. That’s me in a nutshell.
