Lucy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Lucy's Story...
Lucy is a 7-year old female Rat Terrier, Italian Greyhound, Chihuahua mix. She is a little shy when meeting new folks, but is quick to warm up. Lucy can be found by her foster mom's side always. She is a total "companion pet" who sleeps soundly in bed cautious not to awake her foster mom. This 10 pound cutie tolerates the other dogs at the rescue, but she is choosy about who she plays with. We are looking for a caring, loving, and responsible adopter who will be able to spend a lot of time giving her the affection she truly deserves. Lucy has been spayed, micro-chipped, vaccinated, and de-wormed. Lucy is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. If you are interested in adopting this beauty, please contact kathi.jackson9@gmail.com to request an application. There is a $150 adoption fee for this dog. Meet and greets are only scheduled for approved applications.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Weeki Wachee Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Weeki Wachee, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Weeki Wachee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weeki Wachee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weeki Wachee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weeki Wachee paves the way for another one to be saved.
