Humphrey's Story...
Hi, im Humphrey! My siblings and I came to St Francis after our mama cat was hit by a car. We were just tiny babies and had to be bottle fed every 2 hours Our foster mommy did great and now I'm ready for a forever home of my own! It would be super neat if I could get adopted with one of my siblings, but I think I will be happy as long as there's another playful kitty in the house for me to romp around with. I am extremy playful and have a ton of kitten energy right now. I hope I can come run around and play at your house soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Humphrey, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
