Chrissy's Story...
Hello my name is Chrissy and I'm a very affectionate and laid-back 8-year-old feline. I was dropped off at the shelter as an owner-surrender because my owner passed away. I have been in a foster home for roughly 4 months now, but would really enjoy a permanent home of my own. I'm very easy to care for, love to be brushed, and playtime with a feather-wand toy is my favorite pastime. I do well with other cats, but nervous around dogs. Fast movement and loud noises scare me, so a home without dogs would be oh, so wonderful for me. My adoption fee has been waived due to my age, and I am already spayed and current on vaccinations. Could I be the one for you? You know, just me and you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chrissy, a South Haven Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in South Haven, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in South Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
