Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buck is a sweet, darling, 5-6 year old male beagle. He is about 15+" tall and weighs in at about a perfect 30 lbs. He was given up by his previous family because he has separation anxiety. Just about every beagle has some form of separation anxiety - it's just a matter of figuring out what works for him and what doesn't. What Buck needs is access to a dog door and the backyard when you are away and all is fine. He simply does not handle being kenneled very well nor totally enclosed inside the house. He is incredibly quiet when in the yard so should not bother the neighbors at all. He needs the company of other dogs if he is going to be alone during the day. Buck would be fine as an only dog if he had a stay at home family and was not alone for long periods of time. Buck has a lot of play in him and would love for his family to have the time to play with him and to snuggle with him.
He is laid back and calm, most of the time you don't even know he's there. He loves everyone he meets - everyone except those pesky squirrels! When he looks at you with those doe-like eyes, he will melt your heart. He comes house broken and knowing all the basic commands; what more could you want! Buck deserves a great family because he is a great beagle - can you open your heart to such a wonderful dog?
