Pogo's Story...
Hey there! I'm Pogo! I'm a year and a half old collie lab mix and I would love to be yours! I love being around people. I really enjoy your petting, to the point that I turn in happy circles trying to get as much as I can. I really enjoy attention and I respond well to training. My foster family says I’m a smart dog. I also love to play with toys and I will even throw them around by myself. I have lots of energy, but I can be calm too. I'm a lovable, fun, sweet dog looking for my forever home and I would love to become part of your family!

Pogo is currently being fostered in Huntsville, Alabama but he is not picky about where he ends up as long as he is loved. He is around 45 lbs, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, heartworm prevention and flea prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pogo, a Huntsville Labrador Retriever/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Collie for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Collie dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Collie breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
