Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sunflower is a 5-year old, 12 lb shih tzu who was rescued from a high kill shelter. She was found as a stray and set to be put to sleep because she had mammary tumors. She has since had successful surgery to remove them and the tumors were non-cancerous. The vet believes that because she was over bred and not spayed, it caused the tumors and does not believe they will return.
Sunflower has a sweet personality and is a couch potato. She can be very playful toward other dogs and would be better with dogs that have similar energy to hers. Sunflower is current on vaccines, spayed and micro chipped.
If you are interested in her, please complete the on-line application as she does not always attend the weekly adoption event at PETCO on Saturdays. You can also contact us for more information at: www.adoptmerescue@gmail.org.
