Jonah is a great boxer mix. He is on the smaller side, about 40 lbs. He was found hin a ditch in December of 2009. We don't know how long he had been there, but his leg was broken, and he was unable to walk. His leg has been repaired and it doesn't slow him down any! Jonah loves to run and cut up with his friends. He is a smart boy and he learns quickly. Jonah loves people and is good with other dogs. He loves to be right next to his human and cuddle. Jonah is a very handsome dog and will make a great companion!

Jonah's adoption fee is $200.00. An application and home visit are required. Please email us today for application or complete it online at http://www.adoptapet.com/rural-animal-rescue-effort-rare/adoption-application-2/
***This beautiful dog is currently in a shelter but has received full vet care and we will provide FREE volunteer transport to a foster or forever home…please don’t let that stop you from adopting! We are accepting applications to adopt each of the Tennessee dogs listed so they can get out of the shelter.

**Rural Animal Rescue Effort is a foster home based rescue - we do not have a shelter or kennel facility nor do we have regular hours when our companions can be seen. For the safety of our foster caregivers and our animals, applications must be submitted and references checked prior to setting an appointment for a Meet and Greet with our dogs in our foster homes.**

All of our dogs have some potty training under their belly, however, dogs less than 8 months of age are not considered reliably potty trained. All of our dogs are up to date on vaccinations, including rabies if they are old enough. Microchipping is included in the adoption fee.

Adoption fee covers:

All age appropriate Vaccinations, including rabies (if old enough) Worming Flea treatment Spay or neuter surgery Pre-surgical blood work Post-surgical pain management Microchip Rural Animal Rescue Effort provides safe transport of all our animals to their new homes unless other arrangements are made.

About Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE)

About Our Rescue Group...

Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE) is an organization that is dedicated to saving animals in rural areas, mainly in 'pounds' and shelters, both high-kill and no-kill. There tends to be a higher overpopulation rate in rural areas due to lack of animal ordinances and alteration to prevent unwanted litters. Many animals are 'dumped' on country roads left to parish or end up at the local pound or animal shelter if they have an empty kennel. Many of these animals have a limited number of days before they are euthanized. In addition to placing animals in foster and adoptive homes, networking with rescues to assist in placement and adoption of animals, RARE also performs fundraisers for spay/neuters and other vetting to prevent further overpopulation and promote quality of life for the animals we save.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees cover all vetting for the animals in our care, including vaccinations, Heart-worm test, Heart-worm treatment if needed, Feline Leukemia test, spay/neuter and may vary, depending on species.

Fosters and Adopters will be required to complete an application with personal and Veterinary references. A home visit is also required.
RESCUES, please contact us regarding pull information or pull fee, if any, depending on vetting already provided by RARE.
