Meet Lexi! Lexi is approximately 5 years old and 60lbs. She will need to lose a few pounds, but is healthy, happy and loves pretty much everyone!

Her mother was a beautiful Springer Spaniel, and she never told anyone who the father was. Judging from the variety in the litter, he could have been a a Blue Heeler or a mix of Blue heeler/ Lab.

Lexi is as delightful as can be! Lexi loves people, and she's just a great all-around dog. She's ready for her forever home with a good person. Lexi weighs about 55 pounds, and she is as colorful in personality as she is in appearance. Lexi has a Heeler look with blue speckles on parts of her body and tan speckles on others. She is a beauty! If you’re not careful, she will steal your your heart. Her favorite place is in anyone’s lap or right by their side. Her playfulness is matched only by her desire to cuddle with you. She is a calm companion, but she loves to run and will need room to run, or a person to run with her. Lexi is waiting for you!

***This beautiful dog is currently in a shelter but has received full vet care and we will provide FREE volunteer transport to a foster or forever home…please don’t let that stop you from adopting! We are accepting applications to adopt each of the Tennessee dogs listed so they can get out of the shelter.

Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org to apply!

**An application and home visit are required**

All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have. Thank you.

About Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE)

About Our Rescue Group...

Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE) is an organization that is dedicated to saving animals in rural areas, mainly in 'pounds' and shelters, both high-kill and no-kill. There tends to be a higher overpopulation rate in rural areas due to lack of animal ordinances and alteration to prevent unwanted litters. Many animals are 'dumped' on country roads left to parish or end up at the local pound or animal shelter if they have an empty kennel. Many of these animals have a limited number of days before they are euthanized. In addition to placing animals in foster and adoptive homes, networking with rescues to assist in placement and adoption of animals, RARE also performs fundraisers for spay/neuters and other vetting to prevent further overpopulation and promote quality of life for the animals we save.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption fees cover all vetting for the animals in our care, including vaccinations, Heart-worm test, Heart-worm treatment if needed, Feline Leukemia test, spay/neuter and may vary, depending on species.

Fosters and Adopters will be required to complete an application with personal and Veterinary references. A home visit is also required.
RESCUES, please contact us regarding pull information or pull fee, if any, depending on vetting already provided by RARE.
