Facts about Bailey

  • Breed: Conure
  • Color: Green
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
Bailey is a beautiful , full feathered, 10 year old Green Cheeked Conure .
Not 100% sure, but think he might be a male . Was at one point hand tame , and getting all sorts of attention, but his owner unfortunately didn't have as much time as before to spend with him anymore and wanted to make sure he is place in a home that will love him as much as he truly deserves .

Bailey has full flight , and is pretty darn good at it :) He loves to chat it up with you, even though you can't quite make out what he is saying all the time. He will follow you from room to room if he really likes you, so we need someone who is VERY aware of the dangers a little guy like this can get into if unsupervised .

He will step up onto a hand if he fly's and lands somewhere he is not familiar with , but once he knows his way around, he might not want to step up to you at all . Unfortunately he seems to be afraid of a stick/perch, and wont even consider stepping up on that . We are working on trust issues with him now .

This little guy loves the spray bottle , and is always open to getting wet . He is also a great little eater, and loves to try all sorts of new fresh foods.

He is being fostered in Leonardo , NJ

About For The Love Of Birds

About Our Rescue Group...

For the Love of Birds is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of companion birds. We are a network of volunteers throughout New Jersey, and surrounding areas. We take in birds in need of new homes, and place them in nurturing and educational foster homes until a loving new family is found.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption procedure begins with completing an adoption application and returning it to us. We will check your references and then call you for a telephone interview. While we check your references, we will ask that you review an educational power point presentation. After your application is approved, it is our policy that you visit with the bird(s) three times to have multiple interactions with them and give you time to consider the adoption and get ready for your new family member. There is an adoption fee for each bird.
