Here's what the humans have to say about me:
September 20, 2015 -- IVY was part of a newborn litter of pups who were put in a trash bag and thrown in our local water ditch. By chewing a hole in the bag and pushing her face through to breathe, she was the only puppy to survive.
IVY lived with us for a couple of months before she was adopted. After living with her adopter for a few years, her adopter's health turned for the worse and we took IVY back and instead "traded" him with one of our emotional support dogs, which was a perfect fit for his lifestyle at this time.
IVY has lost 7 pounds (which she needed to do, ha ha) and her health has improved. She has acid reflux but that is treated simply with a 1/2 a Pepcid daily. She has luxating patellas and also receives a chewable MSM tablet a day. She is a sweet dog, is not hyper or "barky", gets along with both large and small dogs, plays with small dogs, children and strangers. She also walks on leash and loves car rides. IVY is spayed and is current on shots and knows her commands.
IVY would do best in a home with a retired person or couple, or a home with medium energy where she can walk on leash every day. She likes to play with other small dogs.
4/25/2016 Update: Acid reflux is gone. She remains on her glucosamine daily for her luxating patellas. She loves to walk on leash, she's a "talker" and plays with other doggies.
