Barkley's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Barkley's Story...
Barkley showed up at someone's door and the people posted his picture everywhere. He is housetrained, sits, shakes, begs, walks great on a leash, and loves to ride in vehicles. We took him in and have waited to hear from someone because we know he's a family pet. It's been over 2 weeks, no one has claimed him. If you are looking for the perfect little dog, Barkley is it. Barkley weighs 33lbs and is between 3-4 years young.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barkley, a Hartford Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Hartford, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Hartford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hartford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hartford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hartford paves the way for another one to be saved.
