Buddy's Story...
Name: Buddy
Breed: Lab mix
Age: Adult
Gender: Male

Buddy is an adult, 45 pound Yellow Lab mix, and this guy's happy smile gets smiles in return every time you bring him out in public. He loves walks, does 2 walks a day right now and prances happily along. Buddy is house trained and crate trained, good with other dogs although equally happy as an only dog. He has done well with visiting kids but has not lived with young kids, and has never been around cats. Buddy would do best in a home with a privacy fence or a tie out, he can get over a 4 foot chain link and will do so to come find you. Buddy has spent a long time waiting for his own place.

Requirements: No small kids and no cats ONLY because we don't know how he would do, since he has not lived with them

You can email with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Minneapolis Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Minneapolis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Minneapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Minneapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Minneapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Minneapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
