Maggie's Story...
This sweet girl is Maggie. We believe she is a Jack Russell / Rat Terrier, maybe a little dachshund thrown in the Mix. She has gotten the best traits of all those breeds, calm, reliable in the house, affectionate and easy going, are words her foster would use to describe her. She was also the shelter fave in Georgia, we grabbed her in the nick of time! Maggie is totally house trained, walks great on the leash, and is a super loving girl! We don't know how anyone would have dumped her at a shelter, she is a very EASY EASY dog who will fit into anyones lifestyle. she gets along great with other dogs and kids!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maggie, a Newtown Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier for sale in Newtown, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Newtown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newtown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newtown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newtown paves the way for another one to be saved.
