Happy's Story...
PLEASE NOTE THAT HAPPY IS NOT WITH CBR-EAST, BUT IS WITH HIS OWNER IN EDGEWATER, NJ. HE IS SIMPLY BEING LISTED AS A COURTESY. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HAPPY, PLEASE CALL IVETTE at: 201-543-4226.

We have a 6 year old male beagle, Happy, that we cannot keep. We have been looking for a home for him privately for quite some time and have not had any luck. He is up to date on all his shots and is a friendly, fun loving dog. He is great with kids and simply needs an owner that can give him the attention he deserves. Our circumstances have changed significantly and we are unable to continue caring for him. Please help! He is not fixed and suffers from seasonal allergies which we
treat. I am attaching a recent photo and hope that you will be able to help us place him in a loving home. We are located in Edgewater, NJ. You can reach me by phone at 201-543-4223. Thanks very much in advance.

If interested in learning more about Happy, email his owner here.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Happy, a Portland Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Portland, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
