Mila's Story...
Mila is a sweet puppy with a big smile!! She is hopeful that you are the one to give her happily ever after. She was rescued when a family reached out to us for help. They were without a home and did not have the space for Mila to run and play. Mila's family was living in an RV and they could not keep her and her brother, Boss. We are able to help both of them and take them into the rescue. Mila's former guardian reports that she does well with house training and will go to the door when it is time to do her business. Mila is about 9 months old as of September 2015. She is not very big and we do not expect her to get much bigger, remaining a medium-sized dog. She is a typical happy, go-lucky puppy who loves to play. Mila especially loves to play with her brother and they share a kennel. Mila is sometimes shy when meeting new people, but she is still learning how to live without his former family. Mila just needs someone who is looking for a sweet little girl who needs to be taught basic puppy manners. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and up-to-date vaccinations. If you would like to meet Mila, please complete an adoption application at ITVrescue.org. She is waiting to have a happy ending to her story!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mila, a Evansville Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Evansville, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Evansville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Evansville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Evansville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Evansville paves the way for another one to be saved.
