Hi! My name is Buttercup. I came to the CDR as a stray…so I'm still getting used to my new name! I’m a black & tan long haired doxie girl who is looking for a family to love me and take care of me as their very own! I have a beautiful, soft coat and am approximately 7.7kg. I am fully vetted and they estimate my age to be around 5 years old.
I love going for walks! I know all the other dogs say this…but I walk on my leash like a total champ and am not afraid of any traffic noise, baby strollers or people walking with funny rolling luggage. I am super sweet, laid back, happy, good with other dogs, and like all doxies, love a good nap in the afternoon, tummy rubs and treats! I am totally house-trained. I have not had one accident in my new foster home. Amazing right? I'm awesome!
My dislikes? I'm not so crazy about having my picture taken, yes, I'm super attractive but why does my foster Mum keep shoving the darn camera in my face? Also, not so keen on having my front paws touched. Because I came in as a stray, I'm a little shy of people. But every day that I'm in a warm, loving environment, I get a little more confident. When my foster parents come home I've started to run to them and give them little doggies kisses. They like that. Sometimes I even bring them a toy!
Oh, I am totally crate trained and I like sleeping with my new foster Mum's other two doggies.
Can't wait to meet my new family soon.
Love, Buttercup
