My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Panda is a beautiful, 2 year old, mini long haired, with the most stunning coat.  She is a silver dapple/piebald with one blue eye.  She is full of beans and loves playing with either of her three foster brothers!  They romp and roll, chasing each other through the house!  It’s a ton of fun to watch.

This Sassy girl will bring a lot of love to your home.  She is a cuddle bug and a half, sitting with you on the couch, following you around the house and generally keeping an eye on everything!  She is still getting used the new noises and will bark when she is nervous.  In typical doxie fashion she will bark at the door, and visitors coming into the house.  I leash her, give her time to get adjusted, and she is good to go!

She initially showed a bit of resource guarding over toys and food, but we have been working with her on this and she is doing great!   She is housetrained, we had a few accidents we she first arrived, but that is to be expected.  She cannot be crated or xpenned as it causes a great amount of stress, instead she has been free range in the house since she arrived and there have been no issues.

Panda loves walks, and loves running around in the back yard, but we have noticed she likes to dig!  We have met a few other dogs on our walks and she has done very well!  She would love an active family willing to take her out to explore the world.

At night she sleeps in the big bed, curled up in the middle, often under the covers and has taken to snuggling in with one of us or one of the furkids.  She is a doll!  We love her to pieces already and will miss her when she is gone.

She would do best in a house rather than apartment – the doxie bark is a loud one!  She would love another calm, easygoing dog to bond with in her new family and while she has not been kid tested, we think she will do well with respectful kids over the age of 12.
