Archie's Story...

Hi Hi Hi! I’m Archie! Nice to meet you! I’m the sweetest puppers you’ll ever lay eyes on, or at least that’s what foster ma says. I’m only 2 years old but I’m smart as a whip! I’m housetrained, know my commands, and love meeting new people and doggies!

I didn’t have the best start to life – I was brought into a shelter as a stray after giving Animal Control the run-around for several weeks – hey! I got energy to burn! What can I say, those guys needed a workout ;) Foster ma says I’m looking for a home ideally with a family or lively individual so that I can go on lots and lots of walks and get tons of playtime. Given my past experiences I’m really not big on crates, but don’t worry, I won’t eat the couch! Promise! I do have to be in the back compartment when Foster ma is driving though, because I get so excited in the car and once tried showing ma my awesome driving skills. Yikes!

Foster ma hasn’t really figured out what breed I am mixed with. She says my momma and my papa were like apples and oranges? Whatever that means! The vet (who thinks I’m amazing, by the way) says she thinks I have terrier in me, but hey – who cares! I’m happy and loving and everything anyone could want in a pooch.

If you think I’m the poochie of your dreams, have your people call my people!

Ta ta for now!

Much love,

Archibald

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Archie, a Toronto Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
