And now a few words from me:

Heya! I'm Cachou (Cash) and I sure do love people; snuggling and giving kisses is one of my favourite pass times! I am pretty easy going unless someone knocks at the door, then I turn into the best guard dog to alert you of a potential intruder! But don’t worry, I'm just a noise maker! I like to spend my days napping, taking long walks and playing fetch. I've become a master at dismantling toys (only toys) and enjoying a dog’s life. At night I sleep happily on a big comfy dog bed, nestled under blankets the whole night through.

From day one, foster Mum has said what a treat I am!

And now a few words from my foster family:

Cash is mostly house trained and definitely knows what to do outside when you have him on a schedule. He is such a brilliant dog that listens well to direction. We take him in the car to visit our family and he is a fabulous visitor. He is left out and about in our home, with our own dog, without causing destruction. When we return home from our crazy work day, we have a whole symphony of love & happiness waiting behind the door, can you really ask for any better than that?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cachou, a Toronto Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Toronto, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Toronto.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toronto already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toronto breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toronto paves the way for another one to be saved.
