found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
"Youngsters of the age of two and three are endowed with extraordinary strength. They can lift a dog twice their own weight and dump him into the bathtub." - Erma Bombeck - OR.... they could just have a dog like Roso who will happily invite himself in. A dog who loves the bathtub...who knew?
Roso is an 18 month old tri colored medium length coat Brittany Spaniel/Collie mix weighing 35 pounds, and should fill in to about 40 or 45 pounds, once foster mom gets some more meat on his bones. He's a happy friendly kind of guy who really just enjoys life. We don't know what misadventure or misfortune bestowed our happy fella, landing him smack dab in the middle of a really full shelter. But there he was, just hanging out waiting to get sprung from his cell. Fortune smiled on Roso and his foster mom bailed him out.
Life with Roso has been a hoot from day one. He loves doing what most youngsters love doing, running around playing, entertaining his people as well as himself. He's good about minding his manners below the counter doing what good boys do by playing and chewing on the toys he is supposed to. His curiosity does get the better of him sometimes and.... well he can be a bit of a counter thief (hmmm thief? jail? nah). Needless to say, if he can reach it he may steal it so he's learning boundaries and foster mom is learning to put things away, it's a win win in our eyes.
Roso plays very well with others, both the 2 legged and 4 legged varieties (he doesn't really pay attention to cats). He is, we are happy to report, already house trained. Now about the tub. It's the darnedest thing! He literally loves to jump in the tub empty or full he's a tub guy. He could very well be a reincarnation of rubber ducky but that's a different story. He have a sneaking suspicion that he has quite an an affinity for water but the tub antics.....priceless!
Roso is already neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on preventatives. He's looking for a fun loving family who will see him for the delightful boy he is and embrace his silly antics. It's all about living, loving, and having fun for Roso. If you are ready and willing to open your heart and share your home (and tub) with our sweet silly boy then he's certainly ready to bring a smile to your face and laughter to your life.

PLEASE REMEMBER: The specific breed of any dog abandoned to shelter is the best guess by seasoned rescuers in accord with our veterinarians.
Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
If any dog shows any signs of disease or ailment, DDR vets the dog until he or she has a clean bill of health to the best of our knowledge. This includes anything from being treated for Heartworm, Broken Leg, Cherry Eye, Torn ACL, Upper Respiratory etc.)
NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 4 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
