Lenny-3 LEGS's Story...
ABOUT LENNY -- 3 LEGS

Hello, I'm LENNY. I’m sort of a two-and-a-half-legged cat. When I was a kitten I was found with terrible injuries. The vet said I must have taken a nap up inside a car engine. My right front leg was amputated, along with nearly half of my left leg. No pity for me! I run and play, have no trouble using my litter box, and can even jump up onto a couch or bed. You won't have to get me a scratch post, and you'll never find me on the kitchen counter. Ok, so I'm a bit more fearful than a 4-legged cat. Dogs make me nervous, and I'll do best as an only kitty. No kids under 12 please -- they're too fast and loud. I've been in a foster home and now I'm looking for my forever home .. a calmer, quieter home. I am incredibly sweet and LOVE attention and petting -- and can't wait to have a lap to call my own!

** Come see me at the Aurora Petsmart (976 S. Rt.59, just north of Meijer)!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lenny-3 LEGS, a Hillside Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Hillside, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Hillside.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillside already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillside breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillside paves the way for another one to be saved.
