Indy is a sweet little Lab /APBT mix with a beautiful soul, She is super sweet and an extremely smart girl.  She is not a puppy, but rather a “teen”.  She came to us after being found wandering the streets.  This gorgeous girl was completely hairless due to an extreme case of demodex mange, and a severe staph infection.

She is now well, and ready for her forever home.   She is great with dogs of all sizes, and somewhat cat curious.  She understands most basic commands and enjoys love and affection.

Indy would make an incredible addition to a loving family where she will be part of the family and not a yard decoration.    She has been through a lot, and is now ready to move into her dream home.  If you or someone you know would like to make her a part of your family, please go to  www.strayacressanctuary.org and submit an application, you would be making an incredible choice!

About Stray Acres

About Our Rescue Group...

Stray Acres Sanctuary and Animal Rescue was established as a non-profit corporation in Bertram, TX. officially in December of 2012, but the idea has been a lifelong goal.

Our mission is to provide safe haven for stray animals, animals in high kill shelters and animals on death row, regardless of breed, sex, or species. We also promote the spay or neutering of companion animals, to help prevent overpopulation. We also believe in the practice of Trap, Neuter, Release, (TRN) of feral cats. We strive to educate the public on the benefits of these practices.

We educate the public against Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) to promote equality for all breeds, and to help fight the prejudice toward "aggressive" breeds.

We are located in the Hill Country of Central Texas, west of Austin and have set about completing our life's goal by providing a permanent home for animals either through sanctuary here or through rehoming by adoption.
