Likes: I could stay in your arms all day, just hold me and rub me

A little about me: I was rescued along with my brothers and sister last fall. I was very tiny, sick and very afraid of humans. It took time and patience but I am all grown up now and I love being held. I like to sneak up in my mommy’s arms when she is not paying attention and snuggle in her neck and giver he kisses and hugs. I love playing string, ball and hide and seek and tag with my brothers, stepbrothers and stepsisters.

About J's Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

J's Animal Rescue was created November 2013.

We are Volunteer and Foster based rescue serving Ottawa and surrounding area.

Our goal is helping to reduce the feral and stray cat population in the city of Ottawa and surrounding area.

We mainly focus on cats and kittens who have been abandoned or neglected and end up in colonies or in someone’s yard. They usually need medical attention and rehabilitation as their life in the wild is not at all as one could imagine. By day they run and hide from humans or other prey because in most cases they have been chased, injured or objects thrown at them! Once the sun goes down these poor mislead creatures’ come out looking for food and perhaps a safer shelter for tonight. If lucky (for kitty), they get trapped by one of our volunteers. We assess the frightened kitty, vet check, treat as needed and gets sterilized once maturity is reached. The rehabilitation process varies based on age and needs. Once they are ready, our kitties get introduced during our events and at our Partner events.

We are not a charity or non-profit organization at the moment which means we fund our costs out of pocket. We rely on support from local businesses and people who believe in saving animals as well as our Adoption and fundraiser events. Funds we raise help pay our vet costs as well as food, litter and other supplies.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We hold adoption events at local Pet Valu Stores such as Gloucester Center and Montreal rd.

Our Adoption Process...

Our fees vary based on age and vet cost of each pet. We have an adoption process which includes an adoption contact.

We prefer that adopters keep the pet indoors only.

We do trail adoptions

We help integrate the new pet in the clients home.
