Woolyworm's Story...
Meet Wollyworm! This fluffy baby is one of only two fluffy puppies in his litter. He is a semi-shy boy around new people and noises, but loves his foster mom to bits! He is the quiet, outgoing type, silently wondering off under furniture or around corners... but always quick to come back to make sure it's ok! He's a smart boy, but like any puppy, he will need time and training to learn how to be the best boy he possibly can be! (He's not potty trained yet, but I'm sure he will learn quickly!). He was born on August 18, 2014 and will be ready to go when he is 8 weeks old and gets neutered. His mom appeared to be mostly chocolate lab, about 50 pounds, but who knows what his dad is! If you're interested in this sweet boy, please fill out an adoption application on and email his foster mom, Sky ( with any questions! Visual breed identification of dogs has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place dogs based on personality not breed label. Brother Wolf Animal Rescue's Adoption Center is located at 31 Glendale Ave., Asheville, NC 28803 or call 828-505-3440 for more information. Our hours are Mon.-Sun. 9:30am-6:30pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Woolyworm, a Asheville Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Asheville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Asheville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Asheville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Asheville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Asheville paves the way for another one to be saved.
