Honey's Story...
Meet Honey! She is around 10 months old and is a Shepherd mix. Honey was found in Perris, CA where it was clear someone had dumped her. Despite her rough start at life, Honey is one amazing dog! She gets along fabulously with other dogs and is very submissive – not aggressive at all! She and her doggie foster sibling eat next to each other and share a water bowl, drinking out of it at the same time. She is fully house trained and will let you know she has to go by sitting next to the door. She’s not a barker and is very calm. Honey would do best in a home with another dog or dogs. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting this sweet girl, please head over to our website and fill out an online application: https://www.theanimalpad.org/applications/adoption

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey, a San Diego Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
