Belle's Story...

Age: 2 years

Breed: Standard Longhaired Dachshund Mix

Weight:  17 lbs

Just like the Disney character, Belle’s name means beauty, but she often stands out in town because she loves people!  She is a super sweet girl who dreams of true love and adventure in her new forever home and even though she can be shy at first, believes there is good in everyone.

Also like a princess, Belle is very well mannered, gentle and cordial.  Although once she gets to know you her snuggle manners may go out the window as she will happily get comfy with you in your lap!  Belle clearly has so much love to give and hopes that you are her forever fairy tale come true!

Belle is microchipped, spayed, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $100 and her enchanting personality is priceless!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Belle, a Truckee Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Truckee, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Truckee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Truckee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Truckee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Truckee paves the way for another one to be saved.
