PRINCESS's Story...
Princess was turned into the shelter on 9/23 and they said she is good with kids and house trained. A volunteer said she was filthy and her eyes were matted shut. So she gave the the little girl a bath and gave her a haircut so she could see. Princess spends most of her time sleeping. She is up to date on shots, spayed, and she will be heartworm tested and microchipped when adopted. Her ID is 579029, she is in cage 323 in the Puppy Room, she is 10 years old and weighs 12 lbs. Please give this older girl a chance, she needs an angel to adopt her.

When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PRINCESS, a Marietta Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
