Pickens's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Pickens's Story...
This precious little boy is approx 2 yrs old and weighs 10.10 lbs. He has the sweetest personality. He was very scared in the shelter and not too happy, but once we got him to the vets and he felt safe, he turned into to the sweetest dog. He is quiet and well behaved, still a little shy. He is absolutely no trouble at all!! He gets along with the other dogs, seems to be quite well house broken, but not perfect and does well on the leash. He would do well in a quieter all adult home and with lots of love.

The total adoption cost of $475 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pickens, a Allentown Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
