Cali's Story...
Cali is a terrier and possibly maltese mix. She is 4 years old and weighs 10 pounds. She is a very endearing girl having quickly won over the heart of her foster. She is shy at first and would prefer not to be pushed into handling but will come around in a couple days. She is friendly and great on the leash. She is great with cats and older kids that respect her. She loves to sit with you and watch tv, going for rides in the car and she also enjoys going for walks. She has this super cute “voice” and is good at communicating when she wants something. She would do well in a home with another dog with an adjustment period and gradual introduction. She needs to know the other dog is not a threat and would probably like the company. She is a cuddle bug and would love to share every part of your life. Her adoption fee is $175. Visit mustlovedogsnw.org to download the adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cali, a Vancouver Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Maltese for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Maltese dog from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Maltese breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
