Honey is a female yellow Labrador Retriever mix approximately 2 years in age. She is a wonderful, manageable size weighing in at 43 pounds full-grown. Honey is a very social, loving and affectionate girl. She is eager to please her people and even when she is excited she will try to obey. Honey knows how to sit and is housebroken. She is low maintenance inside the home and will easily curl up on the carpet beside you. She just loves being close and enjoys being in the center of things. When she is out for a walk she has an energetic, springy trot and would make an excellent dog park or dog beach pooch, hiking companion or even jogging partner. She is young and playful and eager to meet new doggie friends. She can romp around and be silly and loves games of fetch with sticks. She will come when she is called and her personality is such that she should bond very closely with her owner and off leash work and playtime will be quite possible. Honey is absolutely excellent with children and seems to really have a soft spot for kids. She will roll, pick up little branches or anything else around to make friends and invite play. She enjoys being petted and comes alive and happy when children are around. Honey is in perfect health, robust, smart and attentive. She will thrive in an environment where she can be included in daily life and activities. She would love to go places with her new family and get to hang out with you! Honey is ready for her new loving forever home today.

Honey’s adoption donation is $450 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). She has been SPAYED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, and DEFLEAED. Also included is her collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of her records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Honey is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Tammy and is ready for her forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

HONEY, a Newport Beach Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
