My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Goldie!

She is a 9 year old golden-lab mix... and I have to say, she has a heart of gold! It took her no time at all to get acclimated to her new foster home and she gets along well with her foster dog siblings.

She doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body! She does great on a leash and is wonderful on car rides! She is able to jump in and out of the car on her own.

Goldie has free roam of her foster home with no problems, but we decided to crate train her as well - but no training needed! While in her crate she sleeps like a baby and not one peep from her. She's easygoing, whether she is crated at night or quietly sleeping on your bedroom floor.

Goldie visited the local dog park and she was a delight! She confidently went up to humans to get free pets and played well with all the dogs. She happily stayed near us off-leash as we strolled around the park.

Goldie does not climb on furniture (even though in our house, dogs are welcome to). She loves to stay close by her humans though. She will lay by your feet or gently lay her head in your lap looking for some affection. She can walk up and down stairs, but might trip once or twice on steep flights of stairs.

Goldie is well mannered and with gentle commands she listens well. She has a very healthy appetite and could stand to put on a few pounds (which she has been gladly working on - she LOVES to eat).

Goldie needs a family to love her as much as she plans on loving you. She is the ideal family dog with a gentle soul. She is independent but loves nothing more than to snuggle and to flop her body onto your lap. She is full of life and is a very loyal friend. It took no time at all for her to bond with me and my family and I can see her eyes light up when we walk through the door. With a heart as big as hers, she will be a wonderful addition to any family. She is ready and eager to find her fur-ever family to love!

Goldie is cat friendly to boot. Won't you welcome this delightful senior into your family?
