Lois's Story...
I met Lois briefly when she was coming back to the shelter after an adoption event with her roommate Slye. She was stretched out on the ground in the play area, totally relaxed while Slye had his photo session. When it was her turn I had to try and convince her to move over to the photo spot but she was more interested in rolling over for a belly rub. She was very sweet and mellow and she didn't complain at all when we dressed her up in several outfits for the camera. Lois is so cute with her perpetual smile and she is a friendly, easy-going girl. 8-10 months, 33 lbs

Act quickly to adopt Lois. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lois, a Darlington Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Darlington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Darlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Darlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Darlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Darlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
