Lucy (Cur)'s Story...
Here's Lucy and I am a ball of fun. I am about 2 or 3 years old and they say that I am a mix of Black Mouth and Mountain Cur although you may see some Boxer in me as well. I love people and dogs, but I prefer calm introductions and I am quite willing to patiently wait for them. I am house broken and although I don't like going into my crate, I am fine and relaxed once I am in there. I am not petite, but I do consider myself a lap dog or at least a good snuggle partner. When I came up, I was afraid of everything, but I am quickly getting used to the new sights and sounds of PA. I sleep in a dog bed at night and yes, I have been accused of snoring and taking more than my share of the couch. My most compelling feature is my eyes, once you look into them, you will see my soul. I am nursing a broken toe, but am doing very well with my reduced activity and my dreaded cone. Please consider adding me to your family; I will love you forever.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy (Cur), a Chalfont Black Mouth Cur/Mountain Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Black Mouth Cur/Mountain Cur for sale in Chalfont, or seeking a Black Mouth Cur/Mountain Cur dog from a breeder in Chalfont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chalfont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chalfont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Black Mouth Cur/Mountain Cur breeders who help with Black Mouth Cur/Mountain Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chalfont paves the way for another one to be saved.
