Marta's Story...
This tiny little girl is Marta. Her, 8 other puppies, and 3 adult females were caught on camera being put out of a car. The police were called but of course with the lousy laws we have in Arkansas to protect animals- they only got a slap on the wrist basically. So we took them all in and now have them healthy and happy! Marta is estimated to be about 8 to 9 weeks old as of 9-26-15. She currently weighs about 4 pounds so obviously she is going to be a small adult. Her mother is a 15 pounds tan/white terrier and we are guessing the dad must have been a Chihuahua. Marta is located in Arkansas but we have transport that takes our ADOPTED dogs to the Northeast every weekend. When we list our rescues on Adoptapet.com they send out the info to all areas that our transport deliver to or near. For more info- please email Sandy at vshutchins@gmail.com and thank you for considering adoption!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marta, a Trenton Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua for sale in Trenton, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Trenton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Trenton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Trenton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Trenton paves the way for another one to be saved.
