Maddie's Story...
Hello! I am Ms Maddie an I am a 6-year-old, absolutely wonderful Weim. I am a pretty laid back girl. In fact, laying around is my favorite past time, which is why I could probably benefit from losing a few pounds. I get along great with other dogs, however, I do have my limits and when that is reached I just head to my quiet place. Crates are great for getting away from the pack and I do not mind them when you leave either. I also do perfectly fine free roaming when you are gone, as long as you make sure to leave absolutely nothing out on the counter. See, I challenge myself to see just how far I can reach for the reward.

Cats are an absolute no with me. I have a high prey drive and all I want to do is chase them. Other than that I am a very easy girl to live with. I am clean and I cuddle up in a tiny ball when I sleep so you do not notice me laying next to you! Being an only dog would be great with me because then I can get all the love I want. However, if I have a doggie sibling, that is OK as well.

A few years back I had some tests and found out that my levels were not quite right with my thyroid. Since then, I have been taking a pill every day and my levels have been perfect. Hopefully this will not deter my new family from coming to meet me because it is very important to keep my T3 and T4 levels where they need to be and I feel much better when they are. I hear that humans have to take pills everyday too sometimes, and it is an OK thing.

If you think I could be the perfect one for you, please let GLWR know so they can arrange a meeting. I am being fostered in Lowell, MI. The holidays are coming and I would love to spend them in my forever home!! Thanks for checking me out! Luv Maddie!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddie, a Grand Haven Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Grand Haven, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Grand Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
