Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hannah is a lovely, fawn, Belgian Malinois. She is approximately eight years old and weighs around 65 pounds.
She was pulled from Catoosa County Animal Shelter, in Ringgold, Georgia, and tested positive for heartworms when we took her into our program. She has received Immiticide injections and has completed her treatment period.
Hannah is good with dogs but has not been thoroughly cat-tested. She is great with people but needs to be placed in a home with no small children. She has a moderate energy level and knows basic obedience commands in German. We would prefer to place her in a home with Belgian Malinois and/or German Shepherd experience.

ADOPTION: Training (for both the dog and the family) increases the probability of a successful adoption. We feel strongly that training is an essential part of responsible dog ownership and we now require training for every dog placed through the MTGSR program.
Hannah's cost of adoption is $250 which includes the $125 adoption fee (reduced adoption fee for senior dogs) and a training fee of $125 (reduced training fee for senior dogs) due at the time of adoption.
For the adoption fee, the dog will be spayed/neutered, current on all vaccinations, current on heartworm/flea-tick preventatives and microchipped.
The training fee will include a plan tailored to that specific dog and that dog's needs (obedience training, behavior modification, etc.).
PLEASE NOTE: Our philosophy is “Rescue locally, place locally” which means we primarily pull dogs from shelters in the Nashville area AND we prefer to place our dogs in homes within a one-hour drive of Nashville. If you are outside of the Nashville area, please consider adopting a homeless dog in your local community.
