Sally's Info...

I am already spayed, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.

Sally's Story...
Sally's Cat-Tale: Sally was taken in by a family when their son was handed the kitten on the street, while coming home from school. They kept her and cared for her for a week but realized that she would do best if around other kittens. They had adult dogs and she showed no fear at all toward the dogs.

Sally is estimated being born about April 28, 2008. She is very energetic, fiesty and inquisitive. Sally has become a lap-cat and cuddlebug and is a joy to be around. She loves to nurse on a blanket(probably the result of being removed from her mom too soon).

Please go to: www.cat-talesrescue.petfinder.com to open the Adoption Application [we MUST have a complete address (City, State and ZipCode)]....listed at the top of the page.

Please ...if you FEED them FIX them! Todays kittens become TOMORROWS breeding & unwanted mom cats.........literally. www.ucan..org - LOW cost spay/neuter clinic in Cincinnati .......cost for spay/neuter about $35. There are NOT enough rescuers, helping hands or HOMES for all the animals in need. The county that Cincinnati is in Euthanizes over 23,000 cats/year......this is just ONE county in the state of Ohio - ONE state in the 50 states of the U.S.A. ...........this IS worldwide ........spay/neuter your pets as welll as stray/feral cats. Information on Stray/Feral cats; www.alleycat.org and www.neighborhoodcats.org. Two well known organizations out of NY city that offer educational materail to help educate the public and teach you the right thing to do for the life of the strays/feral cats in your neighborhood.

Cats can get pregnant as young as 4 months of age and can have 4 litters a year. STOP the cycle of breeding Spay/Neuter Today! There are not enough homes. Every human being would have to care for and own 12 cats in order for every cat to have a home. Thus, a family of 3 people would own 36 cats!

We always take the cat back. It may be one year, three years or ten years down the road... we want the cat to have a home. Whether it be due to moving, allergies or something else. We're in it for the cats. At Cat-Tales Rescue we offer the option of Microchipping your cat, if not already done so [we've just started to do it the summer of 2007 and have it done when they are spaye/neutered. IF they are not already done they can be done for a fee of $12. We give you all the necessary paperwork to register them with 24-Pet Watch. We offer a discount if adopting a pair of kittens/cats. Each cat[under 3 yrs of age] or kitten is $80 to adopt......if a pair of cats/kittens are adopted at the same time it is $70/cat [under 3 yrs of age] or kitten. Cats over 3 yrs of age are $60. Owner relinquished cats are $55. All of our animals are tested for IV/FeLV [if they are kittens the mom is tested and we strongly suggest the new owners have them tested when they are 6 months of age, as a guideline for the cats health]. All are spay/neutered, vaccinated [if adopted before the age at which their rabies vaccine can be given (3-4 months of age) it is the owners responsibility to get them their vaccine]. We also treat them for earmites, roundworms/hookworms and if necessary protozoa and giardia. We give you all the baby photos we have. We also give you their favorite toys and some catnip. We have lots of information available in handouts if there is a subject that you have questions about [we use very well known internet sites on cat care]. We are always available should any questions arise. We offer cedar scratching posts that all of our cats use, we also have nail clippers that are at our cost. Trimming a kittens nails when they are falling asleep is the best time. It is just a matter of getting them into the habit a couple times/month of having it done.

About Cat-Tales Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Simply put: so many people say "why doesn't somebody do something about all the stray/feral cats/kittens.?" We are just one 'somebody' doing what we can to help those with no voice and no choice. We are in it for the cats.

We give out time and energy back to the community by donating food, blankets, spay/neuter help and guidance with placing cats in good homes. We are NOT a 501c3 non-profit organization.....we're just trying to help the overpopulation problem that man started and continues to allow to happen. Having over 22,000 cats euthanized at the local SPCA each YEAR is unacceptable!!!!! Mom cats turned in with their kittens are counted as just ONE animal .......kittens are automatically euthanized because there is no extra time or money to raise the kittens. SO = Please, SPAY and NEUTER your kittens & cats.......they'll recover from surgery much faster as kittens. There are TOO many cats and not enough homes or people to help the cats.

Be 'somebody', be Pro-Active for the cats.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Please contact us by email if you wish to meet a cat/kitten listed. We are open to allowing adoptees to try a cat for a week or two and will take the cat back, refunding their adoption fee[if less than 30 days from adoption] OR allowing them to try a different cat OR referring them to another local rescue that may have what they desire.
If you're interested in lending a helping hand, please contact us....we never know when help will be needed. There is always a need somewhere in the 'rescue world'. If you're interested in long-term fostering, please email us......many kittens need several months of socialization in homes where people have the time to give to the cats.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a signed contract. We require an adoption fee. Adult cats under 3 yrs of age are $80. [if 2 are adopted together or with-in a couple of weeks of one another, the adoption fee per cat is $70]. Cats over 3 yrs of age are $60. Owner relinquished cats are $55. We will ALWAYS take back the cat/kitten ...whether one month, one year or ten years later ....we want the cats to have a home. We want the right cat for the right home. We give our adoptees the cats medical records, favorite toys and some cat nip. We forward all photos that we have so that you'll have the start of your family album. We sell cedar scratching posts which all of our cats are used to using. Our cats are all: spay/neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV[if kittens, the mom cat is tested], dewormed, [deflead, treated for earmites as well as tapeworms and protozoa {if signs are exhibited while in our care} if necessary. We encourage adoptees to look into getting their pets microchipped - as it is the one identification that can get the cat returned to them or their vet/local rescue. We do microchip all cats that we rescue, as of March 2007. We do have addtional chips available if the animal is not already chipped for a fee of $12. We use 24-PetWatch Microchips and we'll always be linked with the cat, should you be unable to be reached.
