Shane's Story...
SHANE: URGENT: WILL BE RETURNED TO HIGH KILL SHELTER 9/30!
We are helping a fellow rescue group in the Charlotte area by posting a courtesy posting. They are forced to close their doors due to financial reasons. Shane was rescued from a high kill shelter to give him a little more time to be adopted but his family still has not come for him. He has been living in a boarding facility and the rescue is unable to continue to pay this bill along with about 23 other dogs. He is neutered, up to date on shots and HW negative. We were told hs not a fan of other dogs and would need to be the only dog in his home. He is super sweet to his human friends though. Please email lastdaydogs@yahoo.com and we can help coordinate his adoption. The rescue is asking for $150 adoption fee to offset some of their costs. Please help time is running out!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shane, a Charlotte Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
